Galaxy S7 and S7 edge get Wi-Fi calling on AT&T

Samsung Galaxy S7 vs S7 Edge-12

Well, what do we have here? It looks like Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge devices on AT&T are getting Wi-Fi calling. The software update bringing this feature to Samsung's flagship began rolling out on July 27.

In addition to Wi-Fi calling, this update also includes some enhancements to "setup and transfer," AT&T Messages Backup & Sync (phase 3), and IPME, which is AT&T's Advanced Messaging. The update should roll out to your device in the next few days, but if you're impatient, you can always check and see if it's available for your device. Head over to Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.

iOS devices have been enjoying Wi-Fi calling on the nation's second largest mobile carrier for the better part of a year now, but Android users only started receiving it this summer. The feature first arrived on the LG G4. We wouldn't be surprised to see it start appearing on other flagship devices going forward.
