Jaybird has launched the Jaybird X3 sports headphones, the third audio product in its acclaimed X series. Following on from the BlueBuds X and Jaybird X2s, the new in-ear Bluetooth headphone can be purchased from the official Jaybird site today for $129.99.

Featuring a sweat-proof design, a wealth of fit options, and up to eight-hour battery life, the X3s are aimed squarely at sports users. They house a similar aesthetic to the previous X2s, though this time the profile is a little slimmer, and Jaybird claims to have redesigned the X2's Bluetooth antenna from the ground up to reduce the amount of 'skipping' when something interferes with the signal. The X3s are also said to benefit from up to one hour of playback time from a 15-minute charge.

In the Jaybird X3s box, you'll find three pairs of foam tips, three pairs of silicon tips and three pairs of wings, all of differing sizes to ensure the best possible in-ear fit. Jaybird also recently introduced its own app for the X3 (and Freebird) headphones, which can be used to customize and save EQ settings.

Meanwhile, the Jaybird X2s are on sale once again at Amazon for $79.99, down from $129.99. When our sister-site Sound Guys reviewed them, it awarded them a score of 9 out 10 and praised their design, durability, and, above all else, sound quality.

We'll have more on the Jaybird X3s soon. For now, if you've any experience with Jaybird products, give us your thoughts on them in the comments.
