Via its Korean newsroom overnight, LG confirmed a few things about its upcoming V10 successor. First off, the name LG V20 is now official, we know it will arrive before the end of September and V20 will be running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box; one of the first Android devices to do so.

Whether this means we'll see a slightly less bloated and skinned version of Android on the V20 we'll just have to wait and see. From what we're hearing though, LG is keeping a pretty tight lid on the V20, so we may not see as many pre-release leaks as we have in the past.
The rumor mill around the V20 has been fairly quiet, but this confirmation of the name and release date does match earlier reports. The September arrival of a third-party device running Android Nougat also lines up nicely with rumors of an August launch for the Android 7.0 update.
