Chess Tactics Pro isn't one of those traditional chess games. CT-ART may be the most comprehensive chess instruction app out there. It boasts a whopping 2200 basic exercises along with 1800 auxiliary exercises and they're all divided into 50 topics. This is the app to get if you're a beginner or a novice and you're serious about upping your chess skills. The information contained with this app really is very expansive and you'll learn about using decoys, distractions, blocking, pursuit, and how to play to a stalemate if you've made some mistakes. The price is $7.99 for the full version but you can try it out for free. It's also worth noting that the developer has a variety of critically acclaimed chess apps.
DroidFish Chess
