Vivo has announced the V5 Plus, a new handset which features dual front-facing cameras, heading to India on January 23. Vivo broke the news via a press invitation which said "Block your date for the biggest selfie camera revolution."
The V5 Plus is expected to be an improved version of the V5, which launched in India in November 2016 for Rs 17,980 (around $264). That device featured a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.5 GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The V5 was also noteworthy for its camera setup, housing a 13 MP rear camera and 20 MP front-facing camera (rear cameras typically have the higher resolution). It appears that Vivo is now going to even greater lengths to deliver on the quality of selfies, but we don't yet know in which other ways — if any — the V5 Plus will improve upon the V5. Given the proximity of the handsets' launches, there could be very few differences.
