TCL Communication, the company that owns the global branding rights for the BlackBerry name, will release a new smartphone during CES. Steve Cistulli, who is the company's President and General Manager for the North American market, is already teasing the upcoming device on Twitter.
Cistulli has recently posted a short video on Twitter that gives us a glimpse of the device rumored to be called the Mercury. The video only shows us one thing which is that the soon to be released BlackBerry handset will feature a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Unfortunately, TCL did not reveal any other information regarding the device. However, there have been quite a few rumors going around regarding the Mercury.
According to these rumors, the new BlackBerry branded smartphone will sport a 4.5-inch screen and will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3 GB of RAM. The device is expected to have 32 GB of storage, a 3,400 mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat.
These are all the rumors we have heard so far. We'll find out whether they are true or not soon, as the Mercury will be officially announced during CES in Las Vegas, which is just around the corner.
