When GamesRadar asked whether it was introduced with Pokemon Go's Halloween update, Hanke said that he wouldn't give away any more clues. It's possible that it relates to the elusive Ditto Pokemon which hasn't been seen since the game's launch.

In other recent Pokemon Go news, a look at the code of its latest APK file revealed that an influx of 100 extra Pokemon could soon be on its way to the app.

Samsung is looking to boost app development inside its Tizen OS spin-off ecosystem with the launch of the company's new Tizen Mobile App Incentive Program. The program is designed to support the developer community in order to grow Samsung's ecosystem, and there's $10,000 up for grabs for developers who submit their apps.

The new program is scheduled to run from February 2017 through to October 2017, giving developers time to make a start on their app ideas. Samsung is looking for a wide range of apps, including gaming, social and lifestyle apps. Every month, each of the top 100 apps downloaded from the Tizen store which are registered with the program will win $10,000. Amazon to partially reimburse parents for $86 million in unauthorized in-app purchases

A federal judge has ordered Amazon to partially reimburse the parents of children that made unauthorized in-app purchases (IAPs) to the tune of $86 million. Amazon was found liable in the case more than six months ago, but the verdict has only just been handed down by U.S. District Judge John Coughenour.

Amazon was accused of making it too easy for children to make IAPs without parental permission as far back as mid-2014 in games like "Ice Age Village" and "Pet Shop Story". Following this verdict, Amazon will be required to establish a notice-and-claims process, informing parents of their eligibility for reimbursement and issuing refunds.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had originally requested damages of $26.5 million, but Judge Coughenour claimed that figure was too high. The judge also denied Amazon's request to issue the refunds as Amazon gift cards. The year-long refund process process will begin in early 2017.

With this verdict, Amazon joins the ranks of other tech giants like Apple and Google, that have also faced the wrath of the FTC in the past over unauthorized charges. In 2014, Apple was ordered to repay over $32 million dollars and Google coughing up around $19 million.

Have you ever had an unauthorized IAP made on your account?

Snapchat's new wearable, Spectacles, went on sale yesterday with a rather unique approach. The $130 glasses, which house wide-angle camera for shooting short videos, were available for purchase via a yellow pop-up vending machine at Venice beach.

The vending machine, known as Snapbot, allowed customers to virtually test the Spectacles before purchasing them via credit card. Customers queued along the beach next to the Snapchat headquarters for the chance to buy the glasses, some of which were reportedly later resold on eBay for as much as $1000.

Pretzel, Pie and UFO emoji on the way with Unicode 10

Android N emoji 1

Android N emoji 1

If you're already lost in the sea of emoji, brace yourself for a new round of peculiar pictographs appearing in your messaging apps next year. A selection of 51 new emoji have made the shortlist for implementation with Unicode 10, ahead of the finalized standard which will be unveiled in mid-2017.

Included in the list, you'll find a number of new animals, including a giraffe and zebra, tasty treats like a pretzel, pie and milkshake, along with the clearly much sought after "bearded man", T-Rex and sauna. In fact, food seems to be a big theme with this latest pack, as there are plans for new broccoli, coconut, and sandwich pictures too. You can check out just a small selection of the new emoji below:

Alongside the all new icons, Unicode 10 is also looking to introduce non-gendered versions of some existing emoji. This could potentially include the child, adult, and older adult images.

This list has only been provisionally accepted, so some of them may end up being whittled down by committee before making it into the final specification mid way through next year. After that, we'll have to wait for software updates to implement them too, so you won't be launching any UFOs for a while yet.

If you fancy browsing through all 51 new emoji that could be heading our way next year, you can check out the collection over at this link.
